This bedroom is one of the original three rooms of the Funston home. The wall to the left conceals a staircase added at the time that two bedrooms were constructed above the parlor addition and to provide access to these bedrooms. On one of the drawers in the washstand is the handwritten note in a child's handwriting: Aldo Funston's privet (sic)/ drawer. Aldo Funston, born in 1877, was a younger brother of Fred Funston. The framed picture above the bed was purchased by Edward Funston during the Civil War. The quilt on the bed was made Edward's wife and Fred's mother, Ann Funston, in 1915.
